It takes a resolute band like London Grammar to cover songs originally sung by the bigwigs of music. Haunting melodies coupled with Hannah Reid‘s ethereal vocals is pretty much what this British pop trio is about. Another addition to the already studded sky of exceptional bands from UK, London Grammar are enormously talented.Nightcall, Hey Now, Wasting My Young Years and Help Me Lose My Mind with the brilliant Disclosure are just some of their many hot sellers. If you haven’t heard even one of their tracks till date, your existence has no meaning. If you wish to add some significance to your life, listen to these chilling covers:

1. Wicked Game (Chris Isaak)

One can perceive the haunting and dark edge to her voice. This track has been covered by a plethora of artists since its release, but this is by far our favorite.

2. Devil Inside (INXS)

London Grammar wooed Game of Thrones fans with their INXS cover. This version can easily pass off as a theme song for any epic or mysterious film. Don’t you think?

3. Wrecking Ball (Miley Cyrus)

Way better than the original one by Miley, who had to strip naked in order to get this song trending. Also, the first comment is a hoot (when you open the YouTube page). *wink wink*

4. Pure Shores (All Saints)

Her soaring vocals have the ability to disarm your senses. Here’s a slice of paradise:

5. In For The Kill (La Roux)

This is another rendition that’s better than the original track. Her sublime vocals have an undeniable power to give you chills!

We cannot get enough of their incredible live renditions! If you can’t either, let us know in the comment section below.

Verbalize what you will about its bold music video, but Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” is one of the best musical compositions of 2013, a monster pop ballad for the ages (and no doubt many karaoke nights to come). It’s no wonder, then, that acts from across all genres have covered it. Afore time we optically discerned HAIM Apply some generally guitar to the smash hit, then there was Angel Haze’s gorgeous, tearjerker rendition. During a recent stop at BBC Radio’s Live Lounge, London Grammar pulled out their own take on the chart-topper.

True to their sound, CoSigned UK trio take the track to a more tenebrous place, wrapping it in the haunting, all-consuming glow that dominated their excellent debut album, If You Wait. At times, frontwoman Hannah Reid gives Cyrus a clear run for her mazuma, her operatic vocals a striking cumulation of conviction, poise, and utter devastation. Listen and Download it below.
